About
Outer Child
Outer Child is dedicated to my inner child and yours. As a painfully shy kid turned confident adult, I wanted to create a brand that screams my personality so loud that my inner child can hear how far we've come! I'm inspired by absurd humor, bright colors, and cute characters. I am a one-woman shop and I design every product and even make some of them myself. My main goal is to make people smile, laugh, relive your favorite memories and just generally embrace the happiness in life when it is needed most.
I design comfortable, standout apparel and accessories that make dressing on theme effortless—perfect for theme park lovers who want to fit in with everyday life while standing out in the parks.
Apparel
Not just your average graphic tee, our one-shirt character bounds bring magical memories to life for every day and every adventure.
Interchangeable Hair Accessories
My innovative design makes it possible to convert one accessory from headband, to hair clip, to hair tie, adding flower power fun to your everyday 'dos.

About Me
I’m Emily, the owner, designer, and maker behind Outer Child. I am a lifelong crafter, artist, and sewist. I am silly, goofy, colorful, and (I think) funny. I like to bring my personality to the forefront because Outer Child really represents me. I am always looking for the bright, colorful side of life. I find when I wear fun and colorful outfits and accessories, it brightens other people's day too!
I have a Master's and Bachelor's in Art History, and an Associates in Business. I am currently back in school for Fashion Design! Proof that I can be serious when required.
I used to work in a museum. While, there I began my first business. It was called WeveGotEars and I made customized mouse ears for Disney parks fans. Yes, that's a thing. Eventually that shop became so successful I was able to quit my job and make ears full-time.
Now, I am taking my experience with design and memory-making into a new business that feels more authentic to me!
I currently live in Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. This neighborhood is ultimately what inspired Outer Child. There is so much culturally significant history here. It is literally the birthplace of counterculture and you can feel it in the air. I also live really close to Golden Gate Park and that is where I am inspired by nature.
